Interview Technique
When you reach the interview stage in the job selection process you have already established that you are a suitable candidate. Our aim in helping you to prepare for the interview is to ensure that you present yourself in the best possible light and that you do not encounter any surprises.


As part of our Interview Technique Scheme, we will:


* Conduct a mock-interview, recorded on video tape, with an occupational specialist as appropriate.

* Review the video tape of the mock-interview with the applicant

* Conduct a post mortem of the interview, also recorded on video tape, which the applicant can keep for further reference.

* During the post-mortem make reference to all matters affecting good technique, including:

General Preparation - Dates & Times / Travel / Attitude / Personal Strengths & Weaknesses / Career Progression / Company Research / Interviewers / Current Affairs & General Reading / Likely Questions and suitable responses / Questions to put to the interviewer.

Personal Presentation - Cleanliness / Clothing / Body Language / Etiquette / Listening & Response / Speech / Confidence / Humour / Self-Marketing.

Documentation - Travel & General Notes / Correspondence & Interview Invitation / CV or Application / Company Reports and Accounts / Media Reports and other sources of Company Information / Interview Bibliography

Selection Procedure - Individual or Panel Interview / General & Technical Approaches / Testing & Assessment Techniques

Follow Up - Correspondence / Deadlines / Job Offers.
