The CV is the single most important document
that you will need in the job search process. If a CV is well prepared
and presented it may secure a job interview. It follows that it
is worthwhile taking some time to produce the best CV that you can,
appropriate to the type(s) of jobs that are to be applied for. With
our help you will be able to prepare CV's that are relevant, positive,
concise and well presented.
This is not simply a secretarial exercise and
it is certainly not a passive experience for the client. Once we
have established your principal marketing points then these must
be communicated to any potential employer as efficiently as possible.
Our intention is to produce a first class self-marketing document
that will be used in conjunction with letters of application for
the various approaches to potential employers.
There is no "Perfect CV" but clients
should have several variants of their basic CV readily available
for each particular application. In a series of individual training
sessions we advise the client on the preparation of the best CV
for any particular application.
In order to satisfy the clients personal objectives and career goals
we examine achievements, work experience and qualifications. Different
Curriculum Vitae styles are discussed and analysed - particularly
the standard Chronological and Functional styles and the various
combined forms of Professional presentations.
A draft CV is prepared following consultation
and, once approved, a final master is produced. Any additions or
amendments can be made and up to 50 copies are included as part
of this service. A master copy is provided on paper or computer
disk as required.
The CV is the key document in your self-marketing
campaign but is always accompanied by a covering letter when approaching
potential employers or Consultancies. Therefore, as an integral
part of our CV Preparation service we also provide pro-forma letters
appropriate to the various applications you will need to make.
The first pro-forma letter of application
may be used in response to an Advertised Vacancy; the second pro-forma
letter is used when approaching Headhunters and Recruitment Agencies
and the third letter is used for Speculative Approaches to companies.
